BMW To Reveal Its 1 Series-Inspired M Sports Limited Edition

Before pursuing the plan to have the 1-Series undergo a midlife face-lift, BMW released its plans to produce a new sport vehicle for its rear-wheel-drive entry-level hatchback. The new car is inspired by the 1-Series and the company’s engagement to the World Touring Car Championship.

The new car is available in the combination of the 1-Series five engine options. The Limited Sport Edition package builds on the existing M Sports package, with 205/45 front and 225/40 rear tires and its 18-inch wheels shod. The new car will also receive a new carbon black paint scheme.

Aside from the mentioned features, the car also includes the lowered M Sport suspension and a body kit plus integrated fog lights. The new M Sport also receives upgrades such as a unique gearlever, mats and start/stop button.

The 1 Series Limited Sport Edition is to be offered in a limited production of only 2,000 units and is available in an additional $3,360 to $4,660, depending on model.

With its commitment in raising the name of 1 Series within two years on the car market, I guess we should expect more identical model to come including the upcoming notchback and cabriolet, when they are back for sale in 2008.

Limited factory installed BMW parts are available online. Check out you trusted auto parts sites to get one.

The Pinky Tuscadero

I have to admit that my favorite car withthe 2nd installment of the Fast and the Furious series is the Pinky Tuscadero, whic was driven by the character Suki. Suki was played by Devon Aoki, who was then making the transition from supermodel to actress. The Pinky Tuscadero is a 2000 Honda S2000 equipped with sheetmetal, smeared with detailed Dubble Bubble pink paint job.

The supercharger for the s2000 utilizes a Paxton Novi 1000, which is almost the same as the Comptech system. The engine is an in-line four aluminum block, with a few external modifications such as Comptech supercharger system with Paxton Novi 1000 and a Ractive chrome tip exhaust. The wheels are Montegi Racing, with 18x7.5-inch front and 18x8-inch rear. It has the following performance acceleration:

Quarter Mile Time:    13.9 sec.

0-60 mph:    5.7 sec.
30-50 mph:    2.2 sec.
